A video has appeared on YouTube offering a sneak preview from Motorola in regards to the Mobile World Congress. There are no specific details on devices, but the video does show various people lugging around a TV set and DVD player. Might this suggest another video focused phone from Moto, perhaps with an accomapnying video download or purchase service? Read on for more.
Here's the YouTube video:
So what phones could Motorola be hinting at? The likeliest candidates in Motorola's stable for high end video focused phones are their UIQ multimedia phones. Recall that the video functionality of the Z8 and Z10 has been heavily promoted by Motorola and that the Z8 shipped with Bourne Ultimatum on the included memory card. At the time Motorola suggested more content might become available in time but did not provide any concrete details.
The unveiling of another multimedia centric UIQ phone from Motorola would seem to be a distinct possibility and would certainly fit in with Motorola's previously indicated plans. We'll have to wait until next week to know more.
Of course this guess may be way off. Steve, as an alterantive, suggested it could hint at a DVB-H handset. Either way Motorola has manged to produce on of the more cryptic MWC hints I've seen.
